My First Tilda Card

This is my first tilda card using my new watercolour pens! Probably not the best example on these pens but I am in love with them.

The pens are called ZIG Memory Brushables, they have two brush tips. Each pen has a light and a dark of the colour so shading is made really easy.

We watched the demo at Stamp Addicts and were amazed at how easy she made it look and we were hooked! Stamp addicits sell them each but you can buy them in packs of 4. Bee Crafty currently have them on at a good offer of £6.70 per pack.

Talking of my love of pens my other recent buy is a clear Copic Spica Glitter Pen... have you heard or seen these?! I read about them and because I love glitter thought I'd give them a go!

The clear is totally clear, leaving only a lovely sparkle behind, unlike Sakura’s Clear Stardust Gelly Roll pen which has a silvery colour with not much sparkle. The main difference in the Spica glitter pen is that the sparkle is actually made up of micro glass flakes and they claim that they have twice the writing length of other pens. There are 12 colours to collect but the clear is great for wings (as above) or even adding on over the top of your coloured image. Have I talked you into buying one yet?! :)

Stevenage Stash

Only a week late lol... ooops I've been a bit up and down this week, think I've come down with some sort of virus :( It seems to come and go... anyway here's my goodies from last week at Stevenage, I had a fantastic time!

I did quite well.. hmm as you can see I bought one or two stamps... I spent more than I took (oops) but I blame the two Clare's that I went with for that as I had £5.00 left and then we went back to the Stamp Addicts to ask about blending pens, which we had bought at Ally Pally.. had to have one but then neither of us could remember how to use them lol... anyway we ended up coming away buying some of these watercolouring pens after watching the demo... I bought 10 watercolour pens (oops I forgot to take the piccies of these) and 2 stamps...

I've tried these new pens out and I am in love with them... I can't stop colouring in stamped images... not made many cards but I have loads of images coloured lol!

Mother's Day Cards

Here's 2 cards I made tonight, one for my mum and one for Paul's step mum!

Top card is made using the NEW (drool drool) Cuttlebug Swiss dots embossing folder and the build a flower dies... I have to say I am very excited about the build a flower set.. it's just so me!!

The Bottom card is a Penny Black stamped image, the flower has been decoupaged and both cards the sentiment has been stamped using those Karen Foster mini stamps, which BTW when I last went into Capture The Magic she had a load more, they have been discontinued for a while and rare to find, but a must have if you can get them!

Friendship Card

Thanks for all your kind emails and messages over the past few days, I really do appreciate it!

Here's a card that I made for a good friend, she's been feeling a little low recently so thought I'd send her a card to cheer her up.

Flower stamp are my Technique Tuesday love me not set and the sentiment is from one of the hero arts clear sets... I seem to have an addiction for sentiment stamps!

Anyone planning to go to Stamperama on Sunday in Stevenage?! Can't wait love that show, it's small but there's normally a great selection of companies there and of course loads of stamps to drool over!!

Sad News Today.

Non crafty post today... I got sad news this morning to say my Great Aunt Una passed away last night... she'd had a fall at home last week and was in hospital, she passed away there.

We've been planning to go over to see my family later on this year as they live in Jersey. Una was such a character, she was a really healthy and fun living 85 year old who still wore fluffy pink slippers with a little kitten heel. She really was a character, I'll miss her.

Stampers 10

Went to my first Stamper’s 10 Wednesday night and had a fantastic time! I was the odd one out as I think everyone else knew each other but there was a few familiar faces from Capture The Magic and everyone made me feel welcome!

We made a bag-a-lope... basically it's a gift bag using a A5 envelope... wow was I impressed! Mine turned out okish... I'll attach a photo of it but it didn't look half as nice as Michelle's our Demonstrators! Our homework is to make a A4 sized one for next month, so watch this space!

On another note Debbie who's house we were at has a gorgeous pink craft room with a glittery wall that I am very jealous of, I could quite happily sit there and craft in that room... but she also had pink things in her kitchen... I'm currently in discussions with my other half to get a pink dish drainer which she had... look isn't this just gorgeous?!!

I really NEED one in my kitchen, my other half doesn't understand the need for a pink one, we have a blue kitchen he says, it won't go.... we could re-decorate and paint the walls I say won't take long!!

Cute Chick Card

Yes I know... ANOTHER Pink & Brown card... but I have a good excuse because Lorraine likes pink just like me! :)

I made this card at the weekend for my friend Lorraine and I fell in love with it, I really struggled to part with it, please tell me you get like this too and it's not me who's weird lol!
It was posted Monday night and made it's journey all the way to Australia yesterday... I wish Royal Mail would be that quick deliverying over here!!

I love my little chick stamp, it was a christmas present from a friend and I had been searching for something like that for months, isn't he cute!! I picked up matching paper from Capture The Magic on Saturday, which I hope to use at the weekend!

Stash Shopping!

Here's some of the goodies I've bought recently... been on a bit of a spending spree but I had money in my paypal account and it was hard to resist not spending it on new goodies!!!
The papers and other bits were from the shop I did at Capture The Magic on Saturday with Clare, Cuttlebug folders were from USA and then the Stampin Up stamps are from ebay or Michelle... I need to play now!!!

Birthday Bella

Here's a card I made for my lovely friend Kerryn, 30 today happy birthday hun!

I love my Bellas, don't have many... I really could do with some more, just have no patience in waiting for them to arrive as the last lot took nearly 7 weeks!! I've just got into stamping on patterned paper, I know a little slow and behind the times lol...

I love this paper, can you believe that it's part of the papermania range?! It has a lovely sheen to it, a friend sent me a card with this paper and I just had to get some!

The scallop circle is from one of the new Hero Arts sets and the 30 is the cuttlebug alphabet set babyface.

Great Weekend... Doodlebug Gossip!

Had a fantastic weekend, my friend Clare came over to craft... last time we got together we made 0 cards but talked a lot!!

After 24 hours we made 2 cards each and the first one wasn't made until nearly midnight, we talk too much!!!!!! I'm lucky I have a craft room left as she went away with a list of must haves!

Anyway she twisted my arm to go up to Capture The Magic, haven't been since November so it was long over due... we planned to only have a quick look round... 2 1/2 hours later we came out!!

Anyway the exciting news was that we came across the new Doodlebug releases and OMG I want it all!!

Velvet looks like going to be an in crafty thing of 2008... There are new papers in some lovely colours, one type has swirls on the paper but I think the swirls will be raised velvet!!

Gorgeous matching ribbons, 7 ribbons on a card 1 yard each, all in a colour theme one of the ribbons has a swirly print on them... they are really really nice!

Velvet brads - 12 colours and then 2/3 mixutre sets (like the bling ones but velvet and there is pink).

Bottles of velvet fluff (these are like the bottled glitters) they are gorgeous... they had 4 colours on the table and they were gorgeous!

Chipboard shapes which have sticky on both sides so you can add glitter/velvet to it and it will stick to the board... I'm sure they were themed too and there was an alpha set.

Velvet paper - like the glitter paper but yummy velvet!

No stamps which was a bit of a disappointment as I love their stamps!

No clue when they will be released, didn't think to ask... we were both so excited drooling over the book that I didn't think to ask... proably be around April sort of Ally Pally time (I hope!)!

I'll have to show you a piccie of my stash, I got some lovely papers!!
