First Stampin Up Parcel.. but a problem!

I'm very impressed, Michelle came over Monday night & they arrived today... How quick is that?! Thank you so much Michelle!!! I am one very happy crafter!!

But I had one little furry problem.... I had to show you this... I turned my back for one minute and this is what happened when I turned round to open my parcel....

This is Barney... he has a thing for boxes, especially craft stash boxes.... do you think he's trying to tell me something?! 'Not more stash mum!' 'Do you REALLY need more stamps?'

Well after a little gentle persuasion we came to an agreement... I could have my Stampin' Up stash if someone could have the box... I think it was a fair swap! Do you think he's happy?!

I Love Flower Stamps!!

I see a flower stamp and I'm drawn to it, I can't help myself lol!

Here's two cards I made the other week for a card making competition, the cards had to be female birthday but with no pink... As you can imagine I found the no pink a bit hard! :)
I've had this brown patterned paper for some time and haven't wanted to cut it as it's so pretty but I decided to be brave and take the scissors to it!!
Both cards I've used the Nestabilities scalloped circles.. and I'm into lace too now although I don't have much of it at the moment so using it is only for special cards at the moment!!

Bling card

OK I've been a bit of a bad blogger recently but I've had a tough old week so please forgive me, My OH had a football accident last Sunday 14 he was kicked him in the knee, his leg swelled up 3 times it's size... it's been a stressful/worrying week as he's been in a lot of pain and hasn't been able to walk. He's off to the hospital this afternoon to see what long term damage has been done as it was too swollen last week to tell... so fingers crossed it's nothing serious.

Anyway here's a card I made for a swap I took part in recently... This is the 'bling' card as I glittered up the petals with stickles.... please note there is no pink card on this card.. shocking I know lol!!

The petals are Technique Tuesday stamps, one of my recent purchases that I saw ages ago and had to have, so managed to pick them up in USA for a bargain price!

Other bit of news is that I've got a Stampin' Up demostrator Michelle coming over to see me tonight with some Stampin' Up goodies to show me... I've loved their stamps for a while and was thrilled that they have finally launched them in the UK! Can't wait to see them in the flesh!

Another Tag!!

I’ve been tagged by the lovely Sally

This is the Middle Name Game! These are the rules:-

· You must post the rules before you give your answers.
· You must list one fact about yourself for each letter of your middle name. Each fact must begin with that letter. If you don't have a middle name, just use your maiden name.
· After you've been tagged, you need to up-date your blog with your middle name and answers.
· At the end of your post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and need to read your blog for details.)

OK... Well my middle name is Lee… I hated it when I was younger, I used to change the spelling to Leigh because I was teased about my name being spelt like a boy! :(

If I was naughty (which of course I hardly ever was lol) I’d be called Kerrie Lee…

L - Loves collecting rubber stamps especially flowers stamps… I get drawn to them...a girl can never have enough flower stamps.. OK I know I need to move away from flower stamps for a while as I could start a shop with the ones I have but it's so hard to ignore them!

E – Embossing folders… I lurve playing with my cuttlebug especially the large embossing folders. I ordered the new ones last week and I'm trying to wait very patiently for them to arrive but it’s soooo hard I wanna play with them now!!

E – Easter... I'm trying to be really organised this year and make Easter Cards early... looking forward to Easter this year as my birthday is the day after Good Friday so that means a four day birthday weekend... yipppee!!

I will tag

I have to share 7 things about myself on here, then tag 7 people at the end of my post. You also have to include links to their blogs and leave a message on their blogs to know they have been tagged.

1. I’m addicted to rubber stamps & inkpads.. I know I have too many quite a few of them still haven't been used but I just can’t stop buying them lol.. maybe I need to set myself a challenge there... to start using the unused stamps!

2. I was taught Maths at school by one of the British airmen from ‘Allo ‘Allo, he was a fantastic bloke and used to tell us tales from the BBC!

3. My least favourite colour for making cards is yellow; I love looking at yellow cards but just struggle to make them!

4. I would love to learn floristry, I love flowers but whenever I put flowers in a vase they never look stunning!!

5. My dream is to go to Disneyworld Florida, as I’m a huge Disney fan! Think I need to start saving my pennys there!

Nestabilities - Helpful Tips

Thought I would quickly share you some info on the Nestabilities that I found helpful before I was hooked!!!

Firstly this site is great guide to what they are, the sizing and how you can use them on the die cutting machine you have, not just the cuttlebug.

http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_th..._faq/index.html

This video show's you how you use them in your cuttlebug... I found this really helpful, it's much easier to watch someone doing it rather than reading it.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4...earch&plindex=0

OK so now you are tempted and want them?! The cheapest place in UK I found was Joanna Sheens website for £16.99 a set, plus you get free P&P, click on the link below and go to the bottom of the page!

http://www.joannasheen.co.uk/craft-supplies/wizard-embossing-cutting-system-dies/

Hope that's helped you out, Happy shopping lol!

Hmmm Cupcakes

Look no pink!!! I love these little cupcake stamps by Hero Arts, they are currently one of my favourite new stamps. You can't see it on the photo but I have glittered up a little of the icing on the cake.... You will also notice that I'm back into spots again!!!

Scalloped circle cut with another of my new toys Nestabilities scalloped circles, used on my faithful cuttlebug! I love them... I could talk about them for hours!!!

What I love about them the most is that you can cut a whole range of sizes using just one set, I think there is 6 scalloped circles in one set and thr largest is 4 inches, they take up hardly any room, unlike the punches. I store mine in clear CD boxes.

Papertrey Butterfly

Well it didn't take long for for a pink card to find it's way on my blog lol... I am going to try this year to use more colours in my cards but pink will always be my favourite colour!!

I wanted to try out my new clear stamp set which I bought just before christmas, it's a butterfly stamp set by papertrey and I just lurve them!!

I'm in the process of making some female birthday cards with no pink on them for a competition and I am also making myself an address book and calandar with my bind it all machine, this will be the first thing I have made with my bind it machine to keep for myself as I normally give them away! Once they are finished I'll show you them!

Male Birthday Card - Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year to all my online blogger friends!!! Lets hope 2008 is a good one for us all.... I've been quite poorly over christmas/new year... just slowly trying to get back on my feet.
Anyway first card of the year and it was a kinda OMG I've got a male card to do and I have no idea what to do type of panic this afternoon lol!!
Anyway had a little play with that lovely cuttlebug cake die and this is the fairly simple but effective card I came up with... Hope it doesn't look too girly?!
The dotty paper is HOTP (still in shock that I cut into this as it's gorgeous!) and the 'happy birthday' stamp is from the new Hero Arts clear stamp sets (yep I treated myself to a few sets!)
Loads more cards to share and you'll be impressed to hear that some don't have pink on lol!!
