Black & Lilac Flowers

Sorry I haven't been about for the past few days I've been away visiting OH's family... had lovely weather but no internet or crafting for 7 days and I'm itching to get crafty again!!

Here's a RAK card I made this month for a very talented crafter... I decided to go for a different colour combination for a change... I don't often use a lot of black other than to mount with but I quite like these two colours together.

The chipboard flowers are cut using the cuttlebug, the ric rac and the tag is by doodlebug. The scalloped lilac background is bazzill card cut with my fiskars large scalloped scissors.

Male Birthday Card

Is it just me or do you find male cards hard?! I really struggle with male cards... if I could just make them pink & flowery I'd be ok lol!

I'm normally the type of girl who leaves male cards to the last minute and then gets stressed wondering what on earth I going to do... You only have to go through my craft stuff to see that I have very little male realted items... I think I own a little beer jug stamp (never used) and a quickutz football die... I think that is as far as it goes for male.. I really need to buy more stuff but I just don't get excited over male items like I do with girlie things like flowers lol.

Anyway this time was different, I made this card with nearly 2 weeks to spare... it's unheard of for me lol!

My brother loves his PSP at the moment and a little light switched on inside my brain lol. I just printed it out a few times and decoupaged the buttons up, the brother wording is cut with the Cuttlebug Hippie Chick alphabet set....

I know it's not the most stunning card and not hugely exciting but at least it's done in plenty of time and hopefully he'll love it.

Right back to pink & girlie now for a few weeks until I need to make my uncles birthday card... ooooh I'm stressed just thinking about what to make....

Basic Grey Notebook

Here's another notebook made with my lovely Bind It All, I found this hard to part with because I love this paper!! The papers are Basic Grey - Phoebe.

The L is from the alphabet chipboard set by Maya Road. It's the first time I have covered any chipboard using paper, I was quite pleased with how it came out!

Black & White

I think this is my first black & white card I've ever made, normally I add a little colour with it but this time I thought I'd stick to just black & White.

The papers once again are from the stash I bought at Stevenage, paper set from Craftwork cards, again like the christmas papers they have a bit of a sheen to the paper.

Flower was cut using the whale of a punch retro flower and the friend stamp is a clear one but I can't remember where I got it from.

Barney's First LO

As promised a few days ago here is a piccie of my 1 year old cat Barney... he's quite a character now! I'm collecting stuff for his scrapbook album... I seem to do more collecting than actual scrapbooking (oops!)

Anyway I did this LO using a challenge on UK Scrappers a few months ago, so not really a current LO but I thought it would be nice to post it here in hope that it'll give me the kick up the bum I need to do more LO's...

Paper & alphabet stickers are by DCWV their cat stack, the little mice are using the cuttlebug cat die.

Pink Christmas!!

I've only made 2 cards today but I actually crafted with my new goodies and cut into new papers too which is normally unheard of for me as I like to buy and stroke only lol!

This card was inspired by Di Hickmans Wednesday Challenge.. the first one I have actually tried, normally just lurk lol!

Anyway the yummy papers are from Craftwork cards, you can't tell on the scan but they are all shimmery. The snowflake was cut using the Sizzlits snowflake die set. The lovely sentiment is by Penny Black... I saw it at Stevenage and I just had to buy it thought it was really sweet.

Strawberries & Cream Challenge/DCM

This card was a challenge on a forum I go on, the challenge was 'Stawberries & Cream'.... make a card with the colours red & white.

I also noticed that on DCM their dare is 'To make a card with a frill'.... so I thought this was suitable for that too, first time I've taken part in a proper challenge!

I love red but I find it a very difficult colour to craft with, so I decided to make my card a christmas card which I find easier to do in red!

The snowflake is from a set I got at Craftwork Cards last year and I covered it with glamour dust to give it that sparkle!

The paper is by Pebbles Inc - Christmas Deck The Hall (Glitterpot) .... The scallopped edging is from the Doodlebug paper frills range. Merry Christmas is the Small casual Snap Stamps.

Pink Notebook

This is my third attempt and I have to say I'm quite pleased with it! We watched a demo at the craft fair for all the handy tips on how to get the edges & corners right and I am so pleased I saw it all as she gave some great ideas and tips!

The B is Maya Road chipboard coloured with H20, covered in diamond glaze and then a bit of glamour dust for a bit of sparkle!

The paper on the front is by Sandylion - Kelly Panacci All About Me Atomic Daises & the inside paper is again Sandylion - Kelly Panacci All About Me Pink Mini Dots both bought from Capture The Magic.

I have to say I found it very hard to give this one away!

Christmas Notebook

Ok as promised here's one of the notebooks I made during the week...this was my second attempt so go easy on me lol! I forgot to take a piccie of the inside of this book before I sent it but inside is a spotty background.

The papers are from last years DCWV paper pack and the embossed snowflake is a Ellison emboss & cut die. The snowflake has glamour dust on the raised part of the snowflake but the camera doesn't pick that up.

I enjoyed making this little book and found it hard to part with it but the receiver said she liked it so I hope she will find a use for it!

Lilac Spots!

I'm really into spotty backgrounds at the moment... I love these spot stamps by MSE, they are a clear set which makes it so much easier! The mouse stamp is by Penny Black, greeting is with my trusty snap stamps!

I made 2 more christmas cards last night, I'll get those downloaded later on. I have to say I am getting very worried with my Christmas obsession as I have made about 17 christmas cards in total after the ones I made last night! I never normally start until the end of September... Quite scary when you think about how close christmas is now....

Bind It All

I'm loving my new toy... I've made three things already with it but I can't show them here until the receivers get them.... so watch this space!!

I have to say I am very impressed with it, it's so small and light, I thought it was going to be heavy and quite big but it weights less that 3lbs and takes up hardly any room so great for those lacking space!

I was so pleased I saw the demo at the craft fair for all those tips & ideas that you don't get when you open the box!

Caz asked where I bought the machine from, mine came from Stamp Addicts, a friend kindly gave me her discount card that she has with them so I got 12% off too, every little helps! :)

I've been told by a friend who's had the machine a few months now that Stamp Addicts prices for the binding wires are the cheapest she's seen them for, so I'll be going back to them!

If you get a chance to see Stamp Addicts at a craft fair go watch their demos because what they had made using this machine was fantastic!

Also worth popping onto Zutter Zisters for more ideas & projects for using the machine!

Finally A Pink Card!!!

Ok… I know not enough pink cards being shown on here for a pink girl lol… I have been trying very hard lately to use other colours but I always come back to pink in the end!! Here’s a pink card I made for a friend.

Stamped cupcake image is Doodlebug clear stamps – birthday set, embossed background is the cuttlebug dots embossing folder on Bazzill Bling card (I found it so hard to cut into the bling!).

Lilac Flowers

I saw a card simular to this on a blog I visted a few months ago and I really liked the effect so thought I'd give it a go... If you happen to know who's blog it was please let me know so I can make sure that person gets the credit for it!

I cut the front on the card in half so that I could mount the embossed image behind. Cuttlebug embossing folder spots & dots inked with an inkpad and the 3 flowers are cut out of chipboard and covered with bazzill. The stems of the flowers are from the Doodlebug clear stamp range - flowers.

I Love This Stamp!!

I just love this little Penny Black stamp, it's called Merci and has to be my favourite cute stamp of theirs, I use it a lot!

The flowers are by Doodlebug and I have to admit that I really didn't like the glittered ones and would normally hide it at the back of the flower but I actually like this! I'm totally into my scalloped punches and scissors at the moment as you can probably tell!

Hmmm Crafty Stash!

Went to Stevenage 'Stamperama' Craft Fair today, met up with great friends and spent a little money, I was actually quite good which makes a change and came back with quite a bit of money!!!
So this is what I got... I was on a christmas mission today and no pink as I buy too much of it plus I've just noticed only one flower item which is normally unheard of!

Red & White Daisy

I love red as a colour but I find making red cards quite difficult because I don't tend to buy much in the way of red apart from christmas!

Anyway this is another card I made for the same swap... this paper is lovely as the white swirls are raised with glitter, I wish I had another sheet of it as this is all I had left over... I don't know who makes this paperbut if you know please let me know as I could do with some more!!

The flower is made using the Ellison Thick Cuts Daisy die that has now been retired, I love this die, I was so lucky to get this for a reasonable price! The corners are a cuttlebug set of 4 called vintage.

Bubble Bella

Ooops been a while since I posted, I've been off work on holiday for a week and made only one card lol, although I won't show it here cause I think it's a bit pants lol!

Anyway here's a card that I made a few weeks ago for a swap I'm taking part in.

I don't yet own this bella stamp but it's on my wants list, I think she is fantastic, bubbles have a bit of glitter on!

I've been into spotty backgrounds for a while and picked up a clear set of dot stamps by MSE at Ally Pally. Not sure if you can make them out on the card as they are stamped in pink.

It's That Lime Green Again lol!

I know not much pink on these pages for someone who claims they are a girlie girl lol..

Green seems to have taken over my crafting... I used to hate green but at the moment I can't get enough of it lol!!

The cardstock is Bazzill Pizzazzill Dot... I wasn't overly struck with much of the Pizzazzil range but the combination of the spots and the green won me over!!

The scalloped circle is using the woodware super duper Scalloped circle punch.

The flowers are from the Doodlebug range and the large green brad is from Dovecraft, greeting using those snap stamps again!

A Challenge Christmas Card

Here's another Christmas card...I really think something is wrong with me lol! I placed an order for christmas papers & a few christmas stamps... this is so unheard of for me, I love christmas don't get me wrong but I like my summer first!

This card was a challenge from Becky.

Using the doodlebug christmas papers I cut out a wave pattern and then did the same in back. The Christmas tree stamp is by Whispers, I thought it matched the paper quite well!

Pink & Brown Cat Card

Just a quick cat card for fun... The cat image is a Hero Arts stamp & then I've framed it stamping the Doodlebug spotty frame on bazzill card stock.

The cat paw paper is from DCVW cat paper stack & tied onto the ribbon is a sweet 'hope' charm, they come in a pack of 6 from Capture The Magic but I can't remember who makes them - sorry!

Christmas In August!

I can't quite believe that I've been sitting in my craft room this evening in my summer clothes making christmas cards lol!!

I'm one of these people who wait for summer to end before I even start to think about christmas but with all the talk of christmas around at the moment, I've got into the christmas spirit!!

I embossed the snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder, rubbed over with a Brilliance inkpad.

I cut out a scalloped circle with my woodware punch and then cut out a smaller circle in the middle to make a frame.

The polar bear is a A Muse stamp and the paper is from DCWV Christmas paper pad.
